18 Month Check Up

I'm a little late in posting this but better late than never! Overall, Chloe is a beautiful, happy, healthy girl.  Her head is 17 1/2" (which has been small since birth), she is 21 pounds and 4 oz, and is 31 1/2" long.  The doctor is a little concerned about Chloe's weight. Up until this point she had stayed in the same percentile - her growth progressing appropriately.  This time, Chloe dropped in percentile with her weight.  We've started giving her 2 bottles of Pediasure a day -I feel like I'm buying formula again! $10 for a six pack! Shane's Blue Moon costs less than Chloe's Pediasure!  But that's ok -whatever it takes to keep our girl healthy & happy!

Catering by the Henderson's (& Chloe too!)

No more Watee!

It's been an exciting week! The picture above is Chloe & Laney playing with the sand & water table.

We LOVE Daisy!

We were visiting Rob in the hospital on Wednesday. Chloe saw a fountain & pointed out the "water" thus...no more watee! My girl is so big!

The other great thing about this week is Chloe learned to hug! I mean really hug! She wraps her arms around your neck & squeezes! It was the most wonderful thing ever!

Did I mention we love Daisy?

My big girl! She loves to do more than "swing" on her swing set!

Another cute thing Chloe says lately...she grabs Shane's bald head with both hands & says, "Oh no! What happened?" It's the funniest, sweetest thing ever!

Chloe loves her Buddy...Buddy hates the bright light of the camera!

For my friend Kelly Brown!

Kelly is married to my good friend Annie.  Kelly's new book, "The Obed" will be on sale this month.  I can't wait to get my own, personal signed copy! I'm so proud of you!

The Obed: A Climber’s Guide to the Wild and Scenic

MainpageObedComments Off

We are proud to announce our next guidebook The Obed: A Climber’s Guide to the Wild and Scenic, by Kelly Brown. The book will be available for pre-purchase here at Greener Grass Publishing sometime in April, and available for sale everywhere around the end of May, 2011. This book has been in the works for a long time, and we think that it is our most stunning yet! The guide features photographs from Knoxville local Mark A. Large, who has really put in the extra work in order to make this thing sing with action, as well as many others. Kelly Brown, a long-time local and developer, has done an amazing job of sharing his love for the magical climbing area known as Obed, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
The Obed: A Climber’s Guide to the Wild and Scenic fully describes the sport climbing, trad climbing, and bouldering found at the confluences of the Obed River and Clear Creek. It does so with descriptions of every route or problem, color photos of the routes, tons of topo maps, recommended routes lists, pages of history and contributor essays, tick lists, and tons of action photos to get you psyched.
