A Drawing by Chloe!

Chloe's Explanation of the Picture - The first thing Chloe drew was the dark image in the center - that's Chloe when she was a tiny baby. Then she drew the small circles at the bottom, which are seeds. The lines above that is water - watering the seeds. The 3 images to the left are flowers - what the seeds turned into. Of course the sun at the top of the page because flowers need sunshine!  And the tall flower next to the sun is a Fairy!

What a Strange Week...

Monday we got ready to have pictures made with Santa.

However, Chloe had to change into a dress because I was wearing a dress. She still looked super cute and this Santa was SO nice!

On Tuesday, Jillian had a stomach bug, so Chloe and I had a craft day. It started with painting.

Then we went to Hobby Lobby for more supplies! We made a Christmas Countdown Calendar because she keeps asking, "Is it Christmas YET?!?"

And felt Christmas trees with ornaments and presents. We felt bad for Jill, but had a great day together.

On Wednesday, it was SO warm, Chloe asked to play in the sprinkler in the backyard.

On Friday, it was SO cold, icy and a little snowy, Chloe asked to make snow/ice angels in the front yard!!! We've had some great family time together, but we're a little bummed too. We had to cancel the 2nd annual Christmas party for Chloe and her friends that was scheduled for Sunday. Oh well, we'll try again next year...or maybe a New Years Party :)

Chloe's 4th Birthday - A Princess Tea Party Parade

The theme for Chloe's party was totally her idea! We had so much fun working on all the details!

The cake was totally picked out by Chloe - Minnie Mouse and tea party go together, right?
Jillian's mom, Judy (aka Udy) helped us collect all the china & flatware. The serving pieces came from my work, and the location was Best Impressions restaurant.
Each place setting had a dinner plate, tea cup and saucer, fork and spoon - all mismatched!  I made the napkins from the colorful, fun fabric. The girls got a princess necklace and the boys got Legos as a party favor.
We offered 3 flavors of hot tea, iced tea, water and cucumber-mint water
Shane and I had some fun with the tea party food. Pictured above is watermelon and proscuitto skewers
Shane made homemade zucchini bread with chicken salad
Biscuits with bacon jam (several jam varieties were offered along with whipped honey butter) and smoked sausage with cheddar cheese skewers
Strawberry short cake and banana pudding in mini mason jars
We made deviled eggs, but can't take credit for the macaroons -those were from Sweet Love
Pretty flowers for a pretty birthday girl!
