Rosie the Elf & her Shenanigans -Part 1

Santa sent Rosie the Elf to Chloe on the first of December.  Rosie keeps an eye on Chloe and reports back to Santa every night. Rosie tells Santa if Chloe has been good or naughty. Rosie has done some pretty silly things the last couple weeks!
Into the Candy
Playing in the "snow"
Part of the Nativity scene
Reading Aladdin with Jasmine to a few of their friends
Hanging from a slinky!
Roasting marshmallows in the fireplace
Rosie got ahold of a marker!
Fishin' for Marshmallows

More to come as Christmas gets closer!

Chloe's Christmas Party 12.9.12

This is the "before" picture of our table. The kids decorated ice cream cones as Christmas trees.
And "after!" I think everyone ate as much as they decorated. Then all the kids wrote letters to Santa.
As each child left, the made a bag of Reindeer Food to sprinkle on their lawn on Christmas Eve.
And for the adults, A Partridge in a Pear Tree Holiday Cocktail!
Our munchies were mini hot dogs, cold spinach dip, Chex mix, chicken and waffles with honey & an antipasto platter - Yum!
6 different cheeses, smoked pork belly, smoked turkey sausage, Greek olives, homemade pickles, truffled tomatoes, homemade giardiniera and candied cashews!
Chloe being silly in front of the Christmas tree. We had a GREAT time!

Chloe's 1st Letter to Santa

Every year I get a little excited about the holidays. Shane & I really get into hosting Thanksgiving feast for the family. The day after I drive Shane crazy pulling out all the Christmas decorations!  But this year will be even more fun because Chloe is really starting to understand what the holidays are all about. We've lived in our house for 5 1/2 years and never used the fireplace. But this year we had to get the chimney ready for Santa Claus! Which led to a letter to Santa from Chloe with Jillian. I'm sure it won't be the last letter, but I had to post since it was her first ever!

Grandma Clara's 80th Birthday

On our way to Grandma's birthday celebration, Chloe had Cheetos for the first time. Chloe thought her orange fingers were funny!
Dad flew Uncle Rick to Arkansas as a suprise birthay gift to Grandma Clara!
I think Grandma is still recovering from the shock of the suprise in this picture

Donut breakfast - yum!!!

The farm really looked beautiful this weekend. The fall foliage was gorgeous!
Chloe says, "Don't worry, I can do it because I'm big!" Me: "When did you get so big?" Chloe: "Last Tuesday!"

Happy Fall Y'all!

We carved Chloe's first pumpkin today!
This was a Halloween gift from Shawn, Leah & Aubrey. Chloe said, "I love my big papa & my regular poppa!"
Chloe didn't want to see the pumpkin guts & seeds! She thought it was gross!
Then she took a turn to help carve out the scary ghosts!
Our masterpiece completed!
Then we went to Boo at the Zoo. Free ticket thanks to Udy! Chloe dressed up as Ariel from Little Mermaid.
Our child has no fear! This slide was REALLY high, and she loved it!
This shot isn't great, but what's funny is we had to pick a dragon that went high. She didn't want to stay low the whole time! Chloe also asked that we stop with the paparazzi between the camera & cell phone!
No. We are not on a roller coaster. This is the carousel and we had a blast!
The porch is coming together...but still needs a little more work.
Happy Halloween!
